You take him to Thailand...
The Grand Palace
The "Tuk-tuk"- our oh-so-safe transportation around Bangkok
The food was awesome but it about kicked our bums. Even Nate who loves his food quite spicy. If you look closely you can see the tears in his eyes.
Chatuchak- the world's largest outdoor market
Typical housing along the Chao Praya River, Bangkok.
Jim Thompson house- Jim Thompson was an American who revolutionized the silk industry in Thailand.
Wat Arun- Temple of the Dawn
Me sitting in the garden of...well, let's just say it was a fertility garden.
On to CHIANG MAI...
Buddha everywhere
Wat Phra Thad Doi Suthep- a temple on the mountain
Feeding the elephants (a whole banana, peel and all)
Elephant Ride
Bamboo rafting
A tribal village where ~200 people live in huts
A Celadon factory- this was our favorite purchase in Thailand (well this and Nate's tailor-made suit). Celadon is hand-made jade green pottery. Beautiful.
And finally to the lovely island of KOH TAO
Nate was feeling really cool on his motorcycle...
...until this
Beautiful sunsets in our own little part of paradise
Of course a huge THANKS to our wonderful families for watching our kids while we were away! They loved being with you and had almost as much fun as we did.

What a cool trip! I actually haven't seen any pictures yet, so it's really fun to see them. It looks like such a neat place, and you'll have to tell me what the real name was for the "fertility garden", I'm curious?!
I'm so glad you posted about your trip to Thailand. Your pictures are great and it looks like Nate and you had an amazing time! Thanks for sharing!
I love the pictures! I think my favorite is that temple. So pretty. I am very jealous of your trip. :) It looks like you guys had so much fun.
I'm so glad you joined the blogging world. Be aware- it's addicting. Your pics of Thailand were amazing. Were you scared at all about being in a raft in the water? Also, I like your living room. It's like Wesla's old one. Is the color by chance Silver Sage? We just painted Luke's room that color because I liked it in Wesla's house.
